Nothing makes sense anymore.
The world is mashing together
in a swirl of endless colours,
colours so bright they could
knock a person out.
                                                   Nothing
seems to be as it once was,
draped in a curtain of black
and grey. The cover has been
pulled back, revealing the
light. It
                                                   matters
to me now, more than ever before.
Why did I sit arounf snf waste
time, moping around like I once
did,
                                                     when
you have a wonderful After to be
exploring! This life is so different
from the one that I once called
my own, where all was bright and
                                                     your
sorrows and worries finally cease
to exist. I am no longer trapped
in that cocoon, caught, helpless
no longer
                                                     burning
in my suffocating grief. I am the
butterfly, flying glouriously in
my newfound freedom, basking
                                                      in
the light. What can the living know
of this place? Heaven or
                                                      hell,
they become nothing but words that
classify nothing. The After is all the
same once you have escaped your
cocoon and taste freedom.
If you've never read Ellen Hopkins, this might be a bit difficult to read, considering the fact that I copied the format since I love it so much. What you do is read the thing as if the words are all together not seperate, then the read the seperate words like it is its own sentence. This one is about a girl who used to suffer from depression but has found her cure now that she lives in the glourious after. Not my best, but I hope ya'll like it.
